Johnny Aimcrier was born on the streets of Queens, NY and raised in the dust of Arizona. Michigan is now his home where he has 3 horses that run and a ’61 Corvair Greenbrier that doesn’t. He’s played in a few Arizona bands such as Postvale Road, The Jet Set Joules, The Calamities, Red Skirt Fleshman, and The Oh Be Joyfuls, most of which fell into the ‘desert rock’ category. Johnny is a singer/songwriter/guitarist and has been heavily influenced by local Tempe/Scottsdale music from the 90’s such as Dead Hot Workshop, The Zen Lunatics, Spinning Jenny (AZ), Gin Blossoms, and Grievous Angels (AZ). There are many musicians that make him sound good when he’s playing in The Aimcriers, such as Andy Aimcrier, Danny Aimcrier, Nathaniel Aimcrier, Billy Aimcrier, and Arline Aimcrier, who all either perform on the first album by The Aimcriers, Solid State World, or perform with him live.
A singer, guitar player and a drummer walked into a bar gig… and North of Five was born. With dozens of years of combined musical experience, Jeremy, Doug and Paul have joined forces to bring you hours of your favorite covers. Their sets includes music from decades past to the latest hits, from classic rock to pop to country. If you ask them how they’re doing on a scale of one to ten, the answer will always be “North of Five”.
Do we really need to lay this out? All we can say is that Crunchy’s has been voted the area’s best place to get your karaoke on for, like, a bazillion years (that’s a lot). Come on in, grab a burger and a brew and pick out your songs. You never know, there might be a Simon Cowell in the audience… although probably not.
Music Begins at 9pm. 21 and older welcome.
